About the artist

Barney is an actor, improviser and comedian based in Melbourne with nine years experience as a long form improviser and a masters degree in psychology, giving him the skills to discuss existential and difficult topics in a safe and supportive manner. He appears on Channel Ten's Thank God You're Here as an ensemble cast member and on the ABC's White Fever, and made his solo theatre debut with 2025's King of the Pigs, receiving three judges picks. Barney graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2015, winning the Frances Barbe Award for most outstanding performer. He has also literally run out of fuel on the Gunbarrel Highway.

Today, you have accepted you are going to die. This is where our podcast begins. Snakebite can be both a fictional improv comedy podcast with serial storylines or self contained episodes, as well as a platform to interview comedians and discuss their theories on the meaning of life, death, spirituality and how comedy fits amongst those big ol' topics.
